Aria For A Calmer World, a short meditative prayer for peace composed as an opening piece for my Daniel Pearl Tribute, STORIES FROM MY FAVORITE PLANET. I’m fascinated in performances that at the end of this piece, audiences often take an audible breath of calm before applause. Originally written for violin and piano, it has been adapted for violin and orchestra, and transcribed for viola, cello, bass, clarinet, and French horn.
