Favorite Planet, itself a larger piece protesting terrorism through a musical journey that included readings from Wall Street journalist Daniel Pearl's articles. LA Jewish Symphony conductor Noreen Green commissioned an orchestration for solo violin, harp, and strings as part of a larger work titled Canopy of Peace that included songs on meditations written by renowned rabbi and peace advocate Harold M. Schulweis.After the Paris terrorist attacks in 2015, the Los AngelesYouth Orchestra performed it as a prayer to end violent ideologies. Later that year, an organizer for a benefit concert to the victims of the San Bernardino 2015 terrorist attacks asked to include the piece.
