My Beach Pebbles Vol. 3 Concert Video from June 17, 2021 below includes the premieres of SMALL RAIN and BEACH PEBBLES VOLUME 3.

SMALL RAIN is a set of three piano preludes inspired by the repeated note in Chopin’s D flat major “Raindrop” prelude.

BEACH PEBBLES Vol. 3 includes the final set of piano pieces from my large collection of 32 pieces inspired by the beach. The pieces in Vol. 3 are more technically challenging, but still warmly tonal and lyrical, keeping with the idea of a child’s innocent love of beauty in nature.

These are personal works without deeper meaning, or irony. They just seek beauty in a romantic, heartfelt, Americana style. Any depth or originality comes from the way the resonance inside the piano interacts with the played keys.

I wasn’t sure these pieces would ever be premiered. Other pianists seemed reluctant. They don’t bear the “normal clothing” of contemporary music, and even with their clear tonal harmonies, they are not really like Romantic-era music either. If any of them speak to you, I welcome your comments..
