19th Century Artsong—Sessions Begin Wednesday September 8
On Zoom—Begins Wednesday September 8, 2021 at 4pm-6pm Pacific Time
I chose 19th century artsong for this upcoming series because, frankly, we all need it. As we continue to navigate the Corona virus pandemic, we need the joy and comfort of this inner sanctum of classical music. And I’m going to introduce you to your new favorite music. Each session I’ll give background, play examples on the piano and share different recordings on YouTube. Together we’ll have a great time discussing songs by Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Berlioz, Wolf, Strauss, Mahler, and even a premiere of my own. The series begins Wednesday September 8 at 4pm Pacific Time on Zoom. You don’t need any special knowledge to learn and enjoy these sessions.
